About Me

I am a former member of the group.  I rode quite a few years ago when the group contained some of the best friends I knew .  I rose with Sandy McMillan, Johnnie Goodman, the Peroni family, and for the first couple of years our trailboss was Blackie Black.  Those were the good old days when we even rose one year with a cavalry unit  After that my disabilities and handicaps began to get too much to handle and I became (still a member) but not active.  Even B.J. Keener was a member of the old bunch.  I still get that excited feeling when I see you all riding down the hiway and remember when I was able to do that myself.  I hope that you all are still having as much fun as I remember having myself and are always careful.  I would hate to see anyone get injured or worse.

I grw up living with Blackie Black's boarding stables. My father worked for blackie and Me and my brother took care of all the horses there, after Blackie left, Lee Sanders took over and we still kept caring for all those horses with names on thier stalls. That's where I got my first pair of cowboy boots for christmas from Mr Sanders at age of 9., I go back to Rio Hondo Road and remember.the old days., wow, how time flys. Never knew that I would grow up and be part of history riding with the best trailride organization. God Bles you and Good Times are never forgotten
